have you ever had a neighborhood place -- your place -- that was a much a part of your day as brushing your teeth?

for ssd, this was twiggs bakery at the base of the cortez downtown. so you can imagine our period of grief -- as much as we adored the lovely italianos at sole luna -- when they left.

thankfully, the Good Lord heard our prayers and moved Dan, Bernie and the most wonderful coffee and cakes to the corner of adams ave and idaho. he also gave us the good sense to move ourselves between the Heights and now it's just like old times!

make sure to check them out, especially now with the breakfast biscuit that made us shout "what?!? did we just become best friends??"
